Day 2

Have breakfast at Big Mountain Deli on Main St, famous for their delicious, mouthwatering crepes, 46 different sandwiches (named after the High Peaks) and fresh brewed coffee. Need we say more?

Ski White Mountain – With the biggest vertical drop of the eastern ski resorts, Whiteface Mountain is not to be missed when you visit Lake Placid! Get your adrenaline pumping and experience the best skiing and snowboarding the East has to offer.

Not a skiier? There are a number of ways to get to the top of Whiteface. One of the most convenient ways is to drive up the newly paved Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway. The views along the road are a stunning introduction to the 360-degree views you’ll encounter at the top.

Feel like being adventurous? Take a romantic gondola ride up to the top!

Next, grab lunch at the delicious Mexican restaurant in our hotel – Mis Amigos. On Mondays, take advantage of $5 Mirror Lake Margo – made with 21 Silver Tequila, house-made sour mix, served with a perfect salted rim!

After lunch, embrace your inner child and go ice skating! Those margaritas will ease the fall. 😉

Skate and twirl your way around the Olympic Oval in downtown Lake Placid or on beautiful Mirror Lake! Here you’ll find several natural rinks for skating and hockey games.

Ice Skating

Not a skater but you still want to play in the snow? Try snowtubing! There’s even a toboggan chute that will send riders hurtling across  frozen Mirror lake!

Stop for a drink and a bite to eat at Dancing Bears Restaurant with beautiful mountain views overlooking Mirror Lake. Make sure to test out their 2017 Golden Ladle winning Boston Clam Chowda while you’re there!

And remember to ask for the best seat in the house, next to the fireplace!

By now you’ve probably built up a great appetite. Eat dinner at Sticks and Stones, a local favorite that serves up casual dining food in a rustic Adirondack setting.

Their warm interior features beautiful décor including rustic artisan wood and stone, a crackling hand laid stone fireplace, and a wood-burning oven – the perfect place to help you unwind from the action-packed day.

Still feeling like having some late night fun? Follow that with live music at Delta Blue or Smoke Signals on Main Street.

Day 3

Start your day off right with a hearty Adirondack breakfast. Check out The Breakfast Club, a relaxed restaurant & bar serving breakfast, burgers & sandwiches, plus craft beers & mimosas. Guests love the great views, good food, and huge portions. (Photo c/o: fleetinglife.com)

When in Lake Placid, dog sledding is one winter activity that you must experience. Feel the adrenaline rush as the dogs zoom across beautiful snow-covered Mirror Lake. The two local favorites are Thunder Mountain Dog Sled Tours and Mike Arnold Dog Sled Rides.

It’s time for lunch again. (It’s safe to say you will be eating and drinking your way through Lake Placid! Afterall, the holidays are a time to drink and be merry!)

For lunch, we recommend eating at Smoke Signals located on Main St. Make sure to try their famous ribs, briskest and other BBQ staples. You can’t get much better than pairing good food with beautiful lake views, beers on tap and live music!
